Roof flashing dimensions depend on roof pitch, material, and local codes, often requiring several inches of coverage. For our specialized masonry joint flashing, sizing is based on joint width, with stock sizes available for joints from under 3/8 inch to 1 1/2 inches to ensure proper coverage and sealant protection.

Our soft lead caps are installed over sealant-filled joints, shielding the sealant from UV radiation and weather. This extends its service life by preventing premature failure. The system also reduces the effective joint opening, minimizing strain during building movement and preventing margin checking along the masonry edge.

Type A (Flat Cap) is for joints where masonry units are in the same plane, like the top joints of copings and window lintels. Type B (90° Cove Cap) is for right-angle joints, such as where a projecting cornice meets a vertical wall, around door frames, or at window sill-to-masonry junctions.
