Type A caps are flat and designed for joints on a single plane, like the top of a coping or lintel. Type B caps have a 90° cove shape and are used for right-angle joints, such as where a window sill meets a wall or at a corner. Both types provide the same durable, flexible protection for the underlying sealant.

Yes, all WEATHERCAP products can be painted to match the surrounding masonry or architectural color scheme. The lead naturally oxidizes to a neutral grey that blends well with most stone and mortar, but painting is a common option for achieving specific aesthetic requirements on restoration and new construction projects.
