The cap is embedded within the sealant-filled joint, where it works to protect the sealant and absorb movement, ensuring a durable, long-lasting weather-resistant seal.

Type A (Flat Cap) is designed for joints where masonry units are in the same plane, such as cross joints on copings, cornices, and window lintels. Type B (90° Cove Cap) is used for right-angle joints, such as where a horizontal surface like a water table or window sill meets a vertical wall.
