WEATHERCAP is a soft lead strip installed within caulk or sealant joints. Its low tensile strength and elastic modulus allow it to permanently flex and creep into new joint configurations as the building moves, covering the sealant and shielding it from UV exposure, weather, and mechanical stress that would otherwise cause premature failure.

WEATHERCAP is offered in Type A for flat horizontal or vertical joints and Type B for 90-degree corner or fillet joints where horizontal surfaces meet vertical surfaces. Multiple width sizes are available to accommodate different joint openings, and standard lengths of 6 feet are shipped for field installation.

Yes. Once installed, WEATHERCAP can be painted to blend with surrounding masonry, matching brick, stone, or stucco finishes. The material also naturally oxidizes to a dead neutral grey over time, which further helps it visually integrate with most building facades without requiring maintenance.
