U.S. Patent Protected Technology
Weathercap's wall expansion joint system uses a patented soft lead strip that is interposed within masonry caulk and sealant joints to absorb building movement and settlement. The soft, malleable lead flexes permanently without cracking, blocking moisture penetration while extending sealant life across parapets, copings, cornices, balustrades, and both new construction and historic restoration masonry work.

Wall expansion joints accommodate the natural movement, expansion, and contraction of masonry structures caused by temperature changes, settlement, and seismic activity. Without proper joint protection, this movement can crack sealants and allow water infiltration. Products like WEATHERCAP interpose a flexible barrier within the joint to absorb stress while keeping moisture out.
